Projekte
ecoHGÜ/ecoHVDC
The "ecoHVDC" project focuses on the investigation of the dielectric properties of biodegradable ester oils and insulation systems under direct voltage stress. The goal is to generate data on the dielectric behavior of ester oils and compare them with those of conventional insulating fluids, such as mineral oil. In addition to conductivity and field strength measurements, material science methods, such as IR and Raman spectroscopy, are used to characterize the ester oils. Based on these investigations, the design criteria for high-voltage direct-current transformers should be adapted to the properties of ester oils.
With the help of project partners Siemens Energy and HSP, a mock-up of an HVDC transformer based on natural ester oil is being developed and conceptualized.
