All students of the Bachelor's programmes Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechatronics (German), and Mechatronics (English) will have a minimum of two semesters to experiment in the Lab for Chip Design and Microelectronics. In addition, there is the opportunity to various practical courses for students of Business and Engineering (German and English) and Technology of Functional Materials:
Exercises and practical courses accompanying the lecture:
For the bachelor’s programme in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (BET; in German):
- Exercises for the lecture “Digital Technology” (digital circuit design, digital basic circuits, and circuit simulation)
- Exercises for the lecture “Microcomputer Technology” (building and testing a microcontroller evaluation board, hardware-related programming, digital transmission codes and memory organisation)
- Exercises for the lecture “Circuit Design with VHDL” (designing digital circuits with a Xilinx Zynq FPGA)
- Practical test: Automation at the EMC measuring station
- Various tasks to be carried out in connection with the development project
For the bachelor's programme in Mechatronics (BMC, in German):
- Exercises accompanying the lecture “Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering” (RLC circuit)
